He is For You

Life can be really heavy. There are always important decisions to be made. There is always that next big step and we want to know we’re taking the RIGHT step. We want to be certain we’re doing what is best for us. As a follower of Jesus, I want to be certain I am walking in the will of God because what happens if I don’t make the right choice?
If you’re like me you fear that making the wrong decision will result in total destruction. I want confirmation after confirmation that I am taking the right step because I don’t want to suffer the major consequences of missing out on what God had planned. I can make myself sick over it. I stress and pray and stress and ask for advice and read the Bible and stress and talk about it and stress. Then, when I think I’ve finally figured out what I might need to do, I stress over all the details. I need to know every baby step of the major step so that I can feel comfortable acting on the decision I’ve made. I do not like the unknown {read: I don’t like to be out of control}
Are you like that? Thankfully, I have some wonderful people in my life that point me back to Jesus and remind me that He isn’t against me. God is not waiting to be condemn me. We can see that in Romans 8:1. Scripture promises us that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. But y’all not only is he not against us but isn’t just neutral towards us either. GOD IS FOR US!!!! (Romans 8:31)
The Creator of the universe wants to lavish us with His love, His grace, His wisdom. He wants to give us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We do not have to wonder or be afraid because He alone makes us brave through His limitless love and grace. We just have to walk in the confidence of who God is and trust Him each baby step and big step of the way. Because my friend, He is for you!
